James Scott founded Scotty’s Contracting & Stone in 1972 after purchasing a paving business from a former colleague. Throughout the following decades, Scotty’s built and acquired pavement companies, asphalt plants, and quarries in the Southern Kentucky region to become the area leader in paving, aggregates, driveways, parking lots, and grade and drain construction. Scotty’s is committed to the ever-evolving road construction industry. Its Bowling Green, KY headquarters houses a technology center to learn and apply recent GPS, laser-guided equipment, software, and drone technology. This new tech reduces costs, saves time, eliminates errors, and provides more accurate data.
