Houchens Industries was again featured in the Bowling Green Daily News for their fundraising efforts in support of the Stuff the Bus Foundation of SoKY. After almost a month of selling mobile pin-ups and rounding up change from customers, the foundation was presented with a check from Houchens for $20,000 to support local schools and teachers. The check was presented during a STB fundraising Live Event hosted by radio personality and foundation founder Tony Rose and the Stuff the Bus Foundation Board members in conjunction with WBKO and Sublime Media.
Nearly $12,000 of that money will go to Logan County schools thanks to the incredible and inspiring efforts of Price Less IGA Store #590 in Russellville, KY. Kim Nolan, the store manager, and local radio personality Chris McGinnis teamed up to raise the bar for what a store can accomplish in a month. They have sold baked goods, raffle tickets, and of course mobiles all the while promoting the good things that Stuff the Bus can do for the community. After a successful 2 weeks last year where Kim and Chris raised nearly $6,000, they really stepped up and pushed to earn even more this year. Logan County schools will have it a little easier this year thanks to the efforts of Kim and her team.
