Jimmy Nichols, Former President & COO of HFG, Passes Away

We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Mr. Jimmy Nichols, former President and Chief Operating Officer of Houchens Food Group, a subsidiary of Houchens Industries. Jimmy played a pivotal leadership role in his 14-year tenure with Houchens Food Group, leading the development of the Price Less Foods format which added significant value to the company over the past 12+ years. In addition to Price Less Foods, he led the development and introduction of Ace Hardware to Houchens Food Group adding diversity to the portfolio of store banners and significant growth potential. He served on Houchens Industries, Inc. Board of Directors as well as the boards of Associated Wholesale Grocers, National Grocers Association, and was proud to have been selected to serve on the Ace Hardware Corporation Board earlier this year.
