Houchens Industries, Inc. is pleased to announce the acquisition of L. Thorn Company, Inc. by one of its wholly owned subsidiaries, Lee Masonry Products, Inc. L. Thorn Company, Inc. was founded in 1917 and was most recently owned and operated by its third and fourth generation family members. L. Thorn operates nine locations along the I-65 corridor of Kentucky and Indiana including four concrete block manufacturing facilities. L. Thorn has approximately 70 employees with many having extensive masonry industry experience and expertise.

Lee Masonry Products, Inc. was acquired by Houchens on March 31, 2021, and is a manufacturer of concrete block and specialty concrete products and a distributor of clay masonry products for commercial and residential use. After this expansion, Lee Masonry will operate 28 facilities in three states with over 425 employees.
